The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway has changed the map for logistics in Rajasthan. More than 370 km of the expressway runs through the state, and land near its interchanges is in demand for warehouses, cold storage and distribution centres.
The Rajasthan Stretch
In Rajasthan the expressway passes through Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi and Kota districts. Jaipur is connected to it by the Bandikui–Jaipur link, a spur of about 67 km.
Why It Matters for Warehousing
- Shorter travel times to the Delhi NCR and Mumbai markets
- An access-controlled road, so trucks keep a steady speed
- Land prices still well below those around the big metros
- Room for large facilities on a single plot
What to Look for in Warehouse Land
- The distance to the nearest interchange, not just to the expressway
- An approach road wide enough for heavy trucks
- A clear title and conversion for industrial or warehousing use
- Flat land that does not flood, with power and water nearby
- Towns nearby to supply labour
